The Doomsday Preppers Were Right?

This article goes on to talk about the food shortages that are already going global. A while ago, before the world was announcing the global famine that is soon to come, some of the brothers and sisters in Christ, as well as myself, were speaking about the times we live in. I spoke to them about the things which I asked the Lord about regarding these times. On that day I gave them what the Lord was showing with the war in Ukraine and how it will lead to starvation amongst several of the countries which rely on their importation of food from Ukraine, Russia, or both.

Yes, things are going to get worse, not better. There absolutely will be food shortages here in the United States. There will be persecutions against God’s children. There will be violence in the streets the likes of which we have not seen before. But none of this is new to the Christian. On the contrary, we have been expecting it for quite some time now.

“I was shown that the perplexed state of our nation calls for deep humility upon the part of God’s people. One most important subject should now engross the minds of every one: Am I prepared for the day of God? God is proving and purifying His people. He will refine them as gold until His image is reflected in them and the dross consumed. There is a great work yet to be accomplished for God’s people. They must possess more of the spirit of self-denial and more willingness to endure, to suffer for the truth’s sake.

Everything is to be shaken that can be shaken. I saw that God’s people, many of them, will be brought into most trying positions and they must be settled, rooted and grounded in the truth, and move from principle, or their steps will surely slide.

I was shown the dreadful state of our nation, and again was referred to (Isaiah 58; 59:1-15), as a description of the present state of things in our nation, and the reason for their present calamity. This is a most unrighteous war. The inhabitants of the earth have forgotten God. They have trampled upon His law and broken the everlasting covenant. They have despised His Sabbath. The fourth commandment was shown me as a golden link, which God designed should serve as a bond of union uniting man to man, and connecting earth to heaven and finite man to the infinite God.” MS 5, 1862 par. 1-3

As the verified, bona fide prophet of God went on to say when it comes to the coming civil war and its cause …

“God does not design that men shall appropriate all that the earth produces for their own selfish purposes. He calls upon them to bring their tithes and offerings into His storehouse, that there may be meat in His house. In India, China, Russia, and the cities of America, thousands of men and women are dying of starvation. The monied men, because they have the power, control the market. They purchase at low rates all they can obtain, and then sell at greatly increased prices. This means starvation to the poorer classes, and will result in a civil war. There will be a time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation. “And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation, even to that same time; and at that time thy people shall be delivered, everyone that shall be found written in the book. . . . Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly, and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.”–MS 114, 1899. Yes, Ellen White is a prophet. For evidence proving this fact, please click here for that evidence. And no, neither I nor anyone else in the Seventh Day Remnant Movement are associated with the SDA church. For the reasons why, please click here when you have time.

But what this article is trying to say is that those who were once deemed to be crazy people for espousing the thought that hoarding food, water, medicine, guns, and ammo were good things are now being regarded as the sensible ones who, though in the depths of paranoia, made the right choice to hoard away resources. But, what does the Lord our God say about such things?

Luke 12:16-21 “And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”

When our Saviour sent out His faithful disciples to go preach the Word of life, He said the following …

Matthew 10:6-14 “But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses, Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat. And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence. And when ye come into an house, salute it. And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you. And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.”

Why did Jesus tell them not to bring any money? Because as He said in verse 10, “… for the workman is worthy of his meat.” In other words, so long as we are doing the work He sends us out to do, we will have everything we need! He will provide to us all the food, water, shelter, and other necessities we require on a daily basis. We have no need to worry about those things because we trust in our Lord to keep His promises. Were we not promised that He will feed us, give us water, and bless us with shelter, especially as the time of His wonderful return draws closer?

Isaiah 33:16 “He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.”

Don’t get me wrong though. Especially in places like where I live (where winter is about 5-6 months out of the year) having a week or two of food on hand is perfectly acceptable. The problem comes when people have months or years’ worth of provisions. What’s worse is the mentality that goes along with such hoarding. It’s strange, but the willingness to share actually decreases when the amount of supplies increases. It’s the same when someone increases financially.

Now, what about the idea of stockpiling weapons? Since the second civil war is coming, and even the unbelievers see this as fact, should we as Christians arm ourselves? I believe the simplest thing to do here is advise you, dear reader, to watch the video I made about violence. I am certain you will be blessed by what you read there.

Matthew 12:36 “But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.”

Romans 14:10 “… we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.”

Knowing that our Lord is coming soon, and countless souls are now preparing themselves for the panic, calamities, famine, and violence to come, there is one question I would like to ask: Have you prepared your heart to meet the Lord and King of all that is seen and unseen? Are you sure?
